Disadvantage and treatment

Your employer may not disadvantage you because you reported misconduct.

That means that your employer may not withhold a promotion and may not dismiss you because you reported alleged misconduct. The CTIVD does not have the power to investigate how your employer treats you following your report of misconduct. Nor does the Whistleblowers Authority investigate the treatment of persons who reported alleged misconduct on the basis of the Intelligence and Security Services Act 2017 or the Security Screening Act. If you wish to raise this type of issue, you should apply to the court.
