Will the CTIVD inform me if my communication is being intercepted?

No. Both the fact that investigatory powers are actually deployed against a person and the fact that investigatory powers were not deployed against a person are classified information.

In such cases the CTIVD will only give its verdict on the legitimacy of the complaint, i.e. if there is a question of improper conduct by the AIVD or the MIVD, but not on the possible deployment of investigatory powers by the AIVD or the MIVD. The AIVD and the MIVD are only involved when there is a risk to national security. Only when this is the case are they authorized to intercept communication, for example.
