Memo on the implications of Convention 108+
On Wednesday 17 February 2021, the Investigatory Powers Commission (TIB) and the Review Committee on the Intelligence and Security Services (CTIVD) sent a memo to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
In the memo, the TIB and the CTIVD elaborate on the implications of Convention 108+ for the processing of personal data for national security purposes. Given the high importance of the proposed amendments to the convention, the TIB and the CTIVD call upon parliament to ratify Convention 108+ as soon as possible.
